Website analytics

We use aggregate website analytics to understand which products, articles and podcasts are useful to visitors.

What we count

We count page openings, device type and model when the browser provides it, referral website domains, and approximate city or country areas when available from our hosting provider. We also group views by masked IP network: the last part of an IPv4 address and most of an IPv6 address are removed before storage. These identify broad networks, not individual visitors. A temporary list of page paths in your browser tab helps count pages you reopen. It resets after 30 minutes of inactivity. No visitor identifier is created.

Location and privacy

We do not request GPS access, use tracking cookies, or store names, personal device names, raw IP addresses, full referral links, search parameters or form contents in these analytics. Approximate network location can be inaccurate. The dashboard groups page views and does not show individual visitor histories. Countries are shown as shaded areas. City clusters with fewer than five page views are withheld from the map.

Aggregate records are retained for up to 90 days of reporting. We honour browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals where available. Browser blocking and network errors may prevent counting. Our hosting provider processes requests to deliver and protect the website separately from these analytics.
